- : subscription lapsed a long time ago.) I ordered the Eric Schwartz CD from
- : Amiga Library Services, to discover that they now go by the name of Cronus,
- : and are carrying a lot of non-Amiga stuff. (No flames here, they need to

- : produce ANY new Amiga collections.
-
- Yes. Fred's still quite committed (in the asylum we're all in) to the Amiga
- market. The Fresh Fish line wasn't really superior to the Aminet CDs as
- a source of new software, so he's splitting the line. A lot of work is
- being put on the ADE (Amiga Developer Environment) and the GNU side of
- the Fresh Fish CDs will find a new CD home.

- : At any rate, the A4000T looks like a solid machine. But when are the PowerPC
- : (or RISC, at any rate) Amigas going to ship? I mean, how close is Escom to
- : completing design and delivery? Will they truly be running AmigaDos, or will
- : they be Amigas in name only?
-
- It IS PowerPC. The only dates we got were at the end of last year, and
- that was "Early 1997." However, evidence of work being done ON them from
- Amiga Technologies is scant.
-
- Phase5 is working on their own PowerPC upgrade project for
- A3000/4000/1200s, involving a minimal OS port with the rest done in 680x0
- emulation.
-
- : Also, what ever happened to the AAA chipset that seemed so promising many
- : months ago?
-
- I think a lot of argument can be had on whether or not it was promising.
- AAA will not be completed, according to AT.
